Boston Whaler introduces the 350 Outrage, an offshore fishing and cruising platform that's big on comfort and luxury
Edgewater, Fla. (February 14, 2013) - From the award-winning design team behind the 370 Outrage comes the latest debut from Boston Whaler, the 350 Outrage. This large, fully equipped offshore fishing vessel is purposefully engineered to deliver remarkable capability and a host of thoughtful amenities, providing a truly world-class experience for serious anglers and pleasure boaters alike.

"The 350 Outrage gracefully balances capability and comfort," said Jeff Vaughn, Boston Whaler's vice president of marketing, sales and customer service. "For customers seeking a well-appointed fishing or cruising vessel, or a spacious and versatile yacht tender, the new Outrage does it all."

Every zone of the boat is purposefully designed to facilitate a range of activities. The bow area, for example, serves as well for fishing as it does for sunbathing or enjoying a meal. A spacious forward console lounge includes armrests, drink holders and auxiliary and USB input. An optional bow table with canvas cover easily converts the area for entertaining. Cushioned backrests provide additional comfort and support. And beneath the bow seats---as well as throughout the boat---space is maximized thanks to intelligently designed storage compartments that house a generous amount of gear and supplies, from fishing rods to dive bottles to a large cooler.

Mid-boat, Boston Whaler has added a portside dive/boarding door with removable stainless steel dive ladder to make entry and exit easier than ever. "This feature nicely demonstrates Whaler's attention to detail," said Vaughn. "In the design process, we explored every avenue for increasing accessibility and ease of use."

The 350 Outrage also features an integrated hardtop with full glass and open glass windshield options, interior lighting, storage and rod holders, and a sophisticated, ergonomic helm console. Full-width sunshades that extend forward and aft from the hardtop are another clever option that provides total protection from the elements. And the convenient head compartment improves comfort thanks to a VacuFlush toilet, vanity sink with mirror and shower.

The helm seating incorporates two leaning post options, both designed for maximum utility. For anglers, the deluxe leaning post/bait prep center is fully equipped to deal with every big catch. A 40-gallon aerated livewell, ample tackle and tool storage, a freshwater sink with sprayer and a large bait prep area with cutting board are just some of the amenities that make the 350 Outrage ideal for fishing.

For laidback days on the water with family and friends, the deluxe Summer Kitchen option features an electric grill, optional refrigerator, freshwater sink and storage. Boaters can entertain a crowd without hassle or headaches. "This boat offers incredible customizability. It's designed to support the gamut of on-water activities our customers pursue," said Vaughn.

The aft area of the cockpit draws from its stylish Outrage family lineage, with upgrades to the seating's comfort and ergonomics including optimized backrests and even thicker cushions. "At any point in the boat, you have your pick of comfortable seating options," Vaughn said. "At the same time, the Outrage retains the openness that makes it well suited for active sportfishing."

Premium amenities contribute to the overall sophistication and enjoyment factor. The 350 Outrage includes a Sirius XM-ready Fusion stereo system with speakers from JL Audio, a leader in marine audio. And the boat's audio system, navigation electronics and vessel monitoring---plus the user's smartphone---can all be integrated through a single, intuitive display. A choice of nine different hull colors (including Ice Blue, Oyster Grey, Sand Metallic and Fighting Lady Yellow) allows for further personalization.

Customers also get to enjoy premium performance, courtesy of triple Mercury Verado FourStroke outboards. Verado delivers remarkable fuel efficiency, incredible acceleration and a smooth, quiet ride. Further, the hull is designed to balance speed and ride quality. "The combination of cutting-edge propulsion and forward-thinking design on the 350 Outrage make it an exciting performance boat," said Vaughn.

Another definitive offering on the 350 Outrage is the upper station. This optional feature provides an unimpeded view of the horizon, enabling anglers to see big game farther out. It's also a prime vantage point for pleasure boaters who simply appreciate a true panorama. The upper station includes a wide upholstered bench with backrest and a tilt helm with compass, digital throttle and shift, and a SmartCraft VesselView display. Optional Raymarine electronics can display fishfinder, navigation info and more. "It's a well-designed approach to an upper station that not only elevates the fishing and boating experience but also enhances the look of the boat," said Vaughn.

"The 350 Outrage is a perfect example of the direction Boston Whaler has been heading," Vaughn continued. "We are consciously and deliberately making innovation a priority. It's about shaping products that address the needs and desires of today's boaters, from the way they use onboard space to the functionalities they crave."

"It's a thrill to witness the continuing advancements being made in the Outrage family and across our entire lineup," Vaughn said. "Even as we retain our core Boston Whaler values---unsinkability, versatility, reliability---we're able to push the envelope. I think customers will be pleasantly surprised."
